MSW Connect has been set up by Mathilde Swierczynska, a seasoned compliance practitioner and general counsel. Mathilde has contributed to growing a culture of compliance to protect people’s and firms’ reputation over her 20 years of career in Singapore and Hong Kong. Living in the garden city of Singapore since 2002, she is inspired by nature in her compliance practice.

Getting It Right from the Start

Creating a compliance culture is not a one-off. It is the cornerstone that connects stakeholders and empowers them to nurture a risk culture intertwined with their values. Just like a garden it requires visionary planning, attention to constituents and constant fertilization and adjustments.
One “rotten apple” can affect an entire organisation and impact the entire eco-system as can be seen from several high profile scandals.

Culture in the Financial Ecosystem

Mathilde has been pivotal in “planting the seeds of compliance” in numerous projects in the finance industry, upon acquisitions or organic growth: she has been advising on integrations projects and legal & compliance units set-up from a governance, risk, compliance and operational standpoint.
